Sending confidential encrpted MS Word documents in Word 2000

Hello. I need to email confidential (encrypted?) MS Word documents to my
clients. I've searched in Word 2000 and this doesn't appear to be an option,
but it is available in Word 2003. I only have 2000. Any help would be great.

Word 2000 does offer some form of encryption, but it is on the Save tab of
Tools | Options instead of Security.
