Does anyone know how to convert a wav file from stereo to mono? Also if
there are any other suggestions to reduce file size? I've zipped my
presentation and it still won't send! I don't understand why?! Any help would
be appreciated.

I'm still having trouble! I triec PFCExpress, any other suggestions? This
presentation is a piece of coursework that I have to upload so getting quite
worried now!

Sam;

Ttake your WAV file into "Sound Recorder" which is available through Start,
All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment. With your WAV file opened in
Sound Recorder, click on File, Properties, Convert Now. As a good place to
start, scroll down until you find "MPEG Layer-3 16kBit/s 11,025 Hz, Mono".
See if this does not help your situation.

Tell me what problem you are having with PFCExpress? If the resulting zip
file is too large to go through your ISP use the alternative suggested and
prepared for you.

PowerPoint will do this for you. No need to do it externally or reinsert
them.

be appreciated.

You can open it in Windows Sound Recorder.
Then choose File, Properties.
Click Convert Now

Then you can choose several different combinations of sampling rate and mono vs
stereo.

Do this on COPIES of your original so you can compare results.

On the picture toolbar (View|Toolbars|Picture), there's a "compress" option.
Use it.

Sam,
Out of curiosity, would you go to Tools--> Options, save tab and check that
Fast Saves turned off? Then, would you save your presentation under a new
name. Let us know if that shrinks the size of the file.
