Sending AT Commands to modem at Startup?

Does anyone know of any way whatsoever, configuration or software,
that would allow me to send an init string to a modem on boot?

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
 
due to lack of no programming knowlege on my part, I used to put batch files
in the startup menu. perhaps a script?
