Sending a distribution list

I have Outlook 2002. The instructions for sending a
distribution list say:
Open a new message.
Click the message body.
On the Insert menu, click Item.

Outlook 2002 does not have an "Item" under the insert
menu. I tried inserting an object, but it didn't work.
Any ideas?

One further thing you might have to do. If you are using
Word as your e-mail editor, you will have to switch back
to Outlook as your editor. In the main window, click on
Tools, options, mail format and un-select "Use word".
Then if you change the format to Rich text you will see
under Insert "Item" and you can proceed to include your
distribution list. Gook luck.
