Sender is not displayed in my In Box

I began using Outlook last week, and it was displaying my incoming email just
fine. Then I dragged something by accident (I use a touch pad, and
sometimes things kind of seem to happen without my intending them!). Now my
incoming messages display the subject and the date, but not the sender.

When I looked over the View menu, all I could find was the feature that
sorts email by sender, but this is not what I want. I want to display
messages by date, but also be able to view who sent them.

Can anyone help me find this setting?

On your Advanced toolbar (view Toolbars, advanced) is a button called Field
Chooser. This is how you can add fields to the view you're in (and rectify
having dragged one off the screen). You need to put the From field back on
to the table of fields you are showing. Drag it from the Field Chooser and
place it beside the subject field.
