'send_email' action

P

Peter Butlin

I am working in Microsoft Access and depending on the actions being
performed the system will automatically send emails using the 'send_email'
action via Outlook.
Until Outlook was recently updated everything was fine but now using 2003
outlook a warning message appears stating that 'a mail from an outside
source is ready to send .. is it ok ?' and has to be cleared. This becomes
a nuisance when around 30 mail need to be sent.
I cannot find a way of suppressing this message, does anyone have any good
ideas .. many thanks Peter

The only way to suppress that message is to not use Outlook to send the mail.
The new security strategies in place make sending email from a program a real
PITA in many ways. If you are in an Exchange mail server environment then the
Exchange administrators can make changes to eliminate that prompt. There is
nothing you can do in your Access app other than to use a different messaging
client besides Outlook.

There is a small utility you can install that will automatically respond to that
prompt without the user having to.
