In all other previous versions of Windows 9X and up, there used to be a
sub-folder in the Windwos folder called "Send To" where you could copy a
hort cut from another location and when right clicking on an item, you could
then select "Send To" and the short cut to your new entry would appear. I
can' find it in Xp-Home Edition, even after exposing hidden and system
files.

Can someone tell me how to insert a shorcut to the "Send To" selection and
have it work as if I were sending it to the "A:" drive or "My Documents
Folder"?

Thanks

C:\Dcouments and Settings\YourUserName\Sendto

You can usually get to it by:

Start button --> RUN

SendTo

OK.

Create whatever shortcuts you want there.

Why not install the Send To powertoy from Microsoft? It allows you to Sent
To any folder, and you do not have to make any shortcuts in the Send To
folder.

I figured this out myself by mistake but for anyone who wants to do this, it
is quite simple.

1. Create a shortcut to the drive/folder to where you may want to send
files/folders etc. to

2. Click on START, Select RUN and type in "Send To" a folder will open on
your desktop called "Send To"

3. Cut and Paste the shortcut you created to the "Send To" folder on your
desktop.

NOTE: If upon opening the "Send To" folder you notice a location which you
will NEVER be sending anything to, you can simply delete it. You can verify
it's removal from the "Send To" folder simply by right clicking on any item
on your desktop and place your mouse pointer at the "Send To" in the drop
down menu and it should then be gone.

Very few of you will ever want to do this, except those who want to simplify
moving things around on their computer.

Did you figure it out yourself two days after everyone answered you by
coincidence? heh
