I am supporting a user that has Office 2003. When in Word, she has a
specially formated document open and wants to send it directly from Word. So
she clicks on File, Send To, Mail Recipient and then the mail view comes up.
However the mail view is lacking the "From" field. She wants it to come
from someone other than herself. How can she get the From field to appear in
Word?

She needs to click on the Options button and select From. That's also where
the bcc field is located.

Even if the 'from' field is activated, the message will still come from her,
but 'on behalf' of the from entry. If she wants the message to come from the
other person, she will have to setup the other person's account and use that
to send the message.

It turns out that when the user went back to Outlook and set the From field
to be showing by default, this setting bubbled up to Word and when she
retrurned to Word, the From field showed up there as well and she sent the
word document as an e-mail from an entity other than herself. So it did work
when the setting was put in place for an Outlook user.
Thank you for all your replies.

If you use Outlook's own e-mail editor rather than Word, the only place you
can set this option is from the e-mail options in Word.
