Send report as PDF

I have a nice little application to send reports as email attachments. You
can select if it is Snapshot, Excel or RTF. I would like to provide PDF as
an option. Most clients have Acrobat but it would be nice if there was a bit
more flexibility e.g. Primo PDF.

I could imagine creating some code around printing to a PDF and saving to a
specific location then picking it up as an attachment.

Before I waste too much time trying to build something, does anyone know if
it has been done before? I hate reinventing the wheel. Any comments as to
the approach would be gratefully received.
