Send/Receive

Hi all

A colleague of mine is experiencing problems receiving e-mail. Up until
yesterday, all mail arrived in his Inbox as normal, however, today, he has
received no mail until he creates a new one and clicks onto Send. Only when
Send is clicked, does it bring through any other mail that has been sent to
him? Even the Send/Receive icon isn't doing anyything.

Does anybody know of a setting within Outlook that could have been changed,
before I put it down to a server/network problem?

If he is connecting to Exchange then I would put it down to a network unless
he has installed a Firewall because it sounds like UDP packets are getting
blocked.

Thank you for your quick reply. He hasn't installed a Firewall so it must
be a network issue. I thought as much.

Have your network guys investigate dropping UDP packets and perhaps google
on "No New Mail Notification" or similar.
