Send Receive

I have Outlook 2000 and just switched providers from
COVAD DSL to TIME WARNER Road Runner cable. After opening
Outlook, I usually press the send/receive button to
retrieve mail. A window comes up very fast, which I am
unable to read, but then nothing happens. Is the Cable
running too quickly for my computer or this version of
Outlook incompatible. Is there anything I can adjust in
the setup to allow me to use send/receive once again.
Please help.

Alvin,
You have switched providers you need to have the new
accounts set up for your email to work.
Go to Tools and select email accounts, either view
exisiting or add a new account. In your case you should
select new account.
next screen gives you all your email accounts, Highlight
the one of interest and click on change. This brings up
your account. make sure your information is correct and
enter your pop-server account names and smtp-server
names. you may have to contact your provider to know what
they are.
then click test account settings and this will send and
recieve and make sure you account is sending and
receiving.
good luck.
