Send/Receive status does not show

Something happened so that when I do a Send/Receive in Outlook 2007 the
status no longer shows up. What can I do to get it bacl?
 
Can you click on the message in the lower right in the status bar and choose
"Details"?
 
Yes. It still shows no send / receive status.

What happens when you select the Details option? Does any window appear at
all?
