Send/Receive problems

I have been using Express for a while now and decided to start using Outlook
2003. I imported my email and contacts successfully but when I try to send
and receive, I get the message "the operation failed. An object could not be
found." I went on Microsoft's site and tried their fix for this problem and
it didn't work. And all the settings seem to be correct. Is there anything
else I can try? Do I have to disable Express somehow?

Did you configure a mail profile?

OE and OL are completely separate apps and you can have both on your PC.
They don't interfere with each other.

I have the identical problem! I can't find an answer on any of the help and
support pages. Also, the connection wizard indicates that all of the tests
are complete and working!

Yes, I configured a mail profile. Still can't figure out what's up. OE
still gets my mail fine but OL won't. It's driving me nuts.

Did you try using Help>Detect and Repair?

Yes I did, and it doesn't work. This is particularly frustrating since I
would like to sync my contacts to my smartphone and that won't work either
(tried all the fixes for that too). I'm figuring the problems are related.

If I were in your shoes, I'd try deleteing the SRS file located in the
(usually hidden) folder
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook and, if that didn't work, try another new mail
profile. I'm afraid, though, that I'm out of ideas. Perhaps someone else
will suggest something.
