send receive button

send receive button is ghosted so can't click/activate to receive or send
mail. Any ideas? I've input correct POP & SMTP info etc... same as on my
other computer and above occurs

The most common reason for the Send/Receive button to be grayed out
is when you don't have a valid account set up.
If you click on the little down-arrow next to that button, are you able to
click on 'Send All' and 'Receive All', and is there an account listed below
those two items?
Who is your mail service provider?
