"send from this account by default" doesn't work

My hotmail account is my default account and next to it says "send from this
account by default". When I set up my exchange client in Outlook 2007
everything is listed in the Exchange sent folder rather than in the hotmail
sent folder. It is being sent from my pskweres@hotmail address but I want
those e-mails to be in the proper sent directory as well. How can I change
this?

Are you using the Outlook Connector? Have you chosen the Hotmail Sent Items
folder as the sent items folder for the Hotmail account in Tools>Account
Settings?

Yes, the hotmail account has the Sent Items Folder checked in the send and
receive settings. Each of my accounts have this set up that way.

The problem is that when the Exchange client got created, instead of
messages being sent by the hotmail account going into the sent folder of the
hotmail account, they go into the sent folder of the exchange account. This
always worked correctly until I added the exchange account.

Thanks

Unfortunately, when an Exchange account is in a mail profile, it seems to
take over. I'm not sure you can do anything, but perhaps someone else will
have an idea.
