Send button appearance in outlook 2007

The Send button and To, CC buttons in my outlook 2007 message window do not
have the default outlook theme appearance (blue back color and envelope
background image).
The buttons do not have any style and they appear just like the default
buttons in windows 2000 even though outlook is running on windows xp sp2 on
my machine.
I tried installing office 2007 SP1 but no help. Can someone give suggestions
about how to fix it?

What windows theme do you use? Can you post a screenshot somewhere (if you
don't have a place, you can use xsolive.com's outlook screenshot library.)

Finally I found the solution for the ugly looking appearance of Send, To, CC
buttons in outlook 2007. The solution was this hotfix needed from Microsoft
site:
"Multiple versions of Comctl32.dll may cause both Windows XP style and
Windows Classic style windows to appear in Windows XP":

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884883

After I applied the hotfix the appearance issue got fixed and even the
Office Communicator contact status icons also appear now on the form.

About your send button not appearing, I read earlier on a post that if no
active account is configured in outlook then the Send button will not appear.
Hope this helps.
