Send and receive group

I have outlook 2002 with sp3 installed. I have disabled option from send/receive group to check mail automatically. But it always check for messages on server every after one minute approx. I have created new send/receive group but no sucess and delete .srs file then then no sucess.
Please assist.

2 Accounts. one as POP3 and other is Microsoft Exchange. Both are from same server and same user and on LAN
