Send a report from Access97

I have n Access97 database which produces a report. When I try to e-mail it
I get an error message stating that the e-mail could not be sent due to the
previous error. Problem is, there is not a previous error. At least none
that I can find. nothing in the evet log either E-mail is through Outlook
2003, installed as a part of Office 2003. This same PC also has Access 2000
installed onit as we have several different Access databases written in each
version of Access. Is there something I need to set up in either Access or
Outlook?? Thanks in advance for any suggestinos provided.

How are you trying to email the report? 97 does not have a snapshot feature.

From the displayed report I'd like to e-mail, I select 'File', then I select
'Send', that opens a window titled 'Send', where I select 'Rich Test Format'
then click 'OK', then I should get a box that says something to the effect of
'Outputting to Mail Message', after which I should get an Outlook e-mail
window to be addressed and sent. At least this is how it worked for this
user prior to replacing her PC. THis is how it wokrs on my PC. However on
her new PC with hte same Office programs loaded, I get the message that says
the e-mail could not besent due to the previous error, even though no
previous error was displayed. I'll happily provide any additional details or
answer any additonal questions. Any other ideas, anyone???

It turns out the problem was the order the applications were installed. If
you install the Office 2003 suite first and then install the Access 97,
something gets overwrietten by the Access 97 install that kills the e-mail
functino. I uninstalled all the office products. Then I installed Access
97, followed by the install of Office 2003 in a different directory. This
allowed reports to be e-mailed from Accecc97 as well as the rest of the
Office 2003 suite.
