Problem sending mail from Access

Guest

Multiple users with copies of the same FE in A2007 and Outlook 2007.
All on Windows XP.

One user cannot send mail from Access with Embedded Macros or SendObject
Method.

SendObject returns error 2293. Nothin on this in Help.

Embedded Macro method returns error:
"Before attepting to send an e mail message, resolve the problem
identified in the previous message, or configure
your computer to send and receive e mail messages."

There is no "previous message"

Outlook is working fine when opened on it own. Problem occurs only when
sending from Access.

Any help?

Typically, problems like this are the results of security setting either in
Outlook or in Windows. Outlook Redemption:

will solve most of the ones in Outlook. For more specific information,
you'll need to ask in an Outlook newsgroup. Also, before you go any further,
try Send in Word and Excel.

I have this problem at work, too. What I do is change the file name
extension and instruct the recipient to change the file name before saving it.

Example:

Original file: <Test.mdb>
Email file name: <Test.mdb.email>

Recipient will then Save file as <Test.mdb> remove <.email>

Hope that makes sense!

Good luck.
