Selling Access app to the general public?

I have an Access 97 app and the ADT and am considering selling it to
the public.

Is this viable? What issues might I have?

I also have Access 2000 and could use that if it would be better. I
don't have the "ADT" for 2000. Is it called ODE or ODT? Can you still
buy that?

Would there be any advantage in moving up to and distributing using
Access 2002 or 2003?

I'm not up on .NET technology.

Appreciate any advice.

You have responses to this question in comp.databases.ms-access. In the
future, if you feel compelled to post a question to multiple newsgroups,
pleass crosspost (listing all the newsgroups in the header) instead of
mulitposting (identical individual messages to multiple newsgroups). In the
first case, the answers show in all the newsgroups -- in the second, as you
have done here, they only show in the particular newsgroup where they were
answered, so people may waste time and effort providing an answer
essentially identical to one you already have.

Ok. I'm new to the newsgroups, sorry. Thought different people might
read different ones.

That is true, but then you should Crosspost (one submission to multiple groups),
not Multipost (separate submissions). Even when crospposting you should include
no more than three or four groups.
