I look after our schools computers. We run a W2K server with over 100
workstations connected. For the past few months we have been having problems
with IE freezing when the students (using individual accounts) try and use
google or yahoo (or they type an address incorrectly). HOWEVER, if i logon
as the administrator on the same machine the freezing does not occur!! Why
is it so?

Hello
Do you have some content monitoring softwares like Netnanny, installed which
requires the *Administrator* login. Try repairing the Internet explorer
installation from the *Add Remove Programs*.

Is freezing occur for short delay or is permanent. If for short delay it
could be DNS problem.

What happens if they directly give the ip address of yahoo.com or
google.com.
