Selecting new colors for graphs

H

Heidi

I want to know how I can choose new colors for the charts
that I generate in PowerPoint. The colors I would like to
have are not in the color palette. I tried changing the
color schemes, but there is no option for the chart colors.

Thanks!

For each Data Series, you can right click on one of the bars or lines and
select Format Data Series and select a new color.

As Sonia said, you can right-click the data series to choose a new
color.

If your color isn't in the palette, you want to go to Tools/Option/Color
(in MS Graph) and modify the color(s) there.

You'll have to do this for each graph. Or do it for one and use that
slide as a "template" for others. Simply copy that slide and change the
data points as necessary.

Or you can see if saving as a chart type will help, but know that these
settings are per computer, not per presentation. In other words, adding
that chart type on your computer won't help if you send the presentation
to others -- they won't have that chart type in their chart selections.

Or you can graph in Excel, which will allow you to specify a color
scheme and apply it to all your graphs.
