Selecting multiple pictures

I have imported mutliple jpegs and want to be able to select them all to
align them. I can select one at a time, but am unable to select mutliple
pictures. I have tried pressing the Shift key and clicking on each picture
one at a time. I have also tried to drag a box around them using the Select
tool on the drawing menu. I am able to select multiple "objects" but no
multiple "pictures". Any suggestions?

You need to use tables with appropriate number of cells and insert your
pictures in the cells.

Most of the tools on the Drawing toolbars are for objects created with the
Drawing toolbar - .gif and .jpg images are excluded.
