Selected range highlight color

When I select an entire row or column by clicking on the
row or column header, the range I've selected is
highlighted in "standard Excel grey." I'd like to change
that highlight to a different color to make the data in
the selected range easier to view. Is there a way to do
that, either in the Excel settings or in the Windows
settings? I'm running Win XP Pro.

Thanks!

You can change the selection colour, but it will be a transparent
version of the colour you choose. To change the selection colour, modify
the settings in your Control Panel. (Instructions for Windows XP)

1. Right-click on the desktop, and choose Properties
2. On the Appearance tab, click Advanced.
3. From the Item dropdown, choose Selected Items
4. Choose a colour, click OK, click OK

Hi LS!

You might try downloading Rowliner from Chip Pearson's site:
