What I am trying to do in Access seems like it would be simple, but I cannot
figure out how to do it. (I am a novice user) I would like to select a
row/record in a table, then be able to go to the corresponding form that was
intially used to enter that data. It would really be nice if I could just
double click on the table record and have the form pop up. Any suggestions?

Sorry, tables don't expose any events to which you can hook code or macros.
You could do it with a continuous form, but not with a table or query.
