select power off from start menu doesn't work any more

I used to click start turn off computer and select turn off. and it always
worked like a charm.. All of a sudden it restarts when i select turn off
computer.. Anyone know why this changed and how i can change it back??

There is probably a system error occurring when powering down. When this
happens, your PC may restart. Uncheck the option "Automatically Restart" on
System Errors. This is located by start>run and type

sysdm.cpl

then Advance>Startup and Recovery "Settings"> Uncheck "Automatically
restart".
