Seeing deleted track changes

Would anyone know if it is possible to see track changes that have been
deleted in word 2003.
I was told that whatever changes were made, they can still be accessed even
if they have been deleted.
It might mean copying the text to a different file.

Is this possible.

Many thanks

If the AcceptAll Changes command was used and Track Changes was then toggled
off, you will not find these easily. However, if the MetaData was not
scrubbed from the document, then MetaData analysis will reveal the virtual
history of the document.

Search Google for MetatData analysis.

If the Tracked Changes have been accepted/rejected then there is nothing to
see. Word doesn't save revision history unless Tracked Changes are present
in the document.

I suspect where the rumor, that Word retains changes, came from is previous
versions of Word. Prior to Word 2002 Tracked Changes were handled
differently and one could suppress the view of changes in a document. Since
this was a 'per document' setting if you copy/pasted to a new document then
the changes could be viewed.
