SEE THE NETWORK

My system cannot connect to our local network. My system
cannot read the network. How can we connect. Running
windows xp professional.

Cabling: Is the cable plugged in and correctly wired. Can you ping yourself
i.e. Open Command Prompt and type PING 127.0.0.1 and press Enter. If so,
can you ping a machine on the network (its IP address)? If not, then
checkthe IP address ranges of the machines in question, maybe yours is using
the autoconfigiuration IP address such as 169.xxx.xxx.xxx and the others are
using 192.168.xxx.xxx.

Check that first then get back to us.
