Security Warnings

When I try to access my bank on line I get a "Warning:situation is
potentially harmful. Consider adjusting security settings to enhance the
security of your computer" Then it give me the option to save the file.

All I want to do is log on my bank's web site. I was able to log onto it on
my work computer. HELP

open Internet Explorer click on Tools at the top, select Internet Options, select security, try adjusting the settins for security internet to medium, make sure you have the SSL settings your bank requires.

Save what file? Something related to the warning message? If yes, this does
not sound quite right. System should be checked for malware (virus, trojan,
adware, etc.). Use an antivirus program that has current virus definitions
to do a full scan of the system. Use anti-spyware software such as AdAware
to check for other intrusions.

Your bank's web site is probably trying to install something on your
computer that is required in order to access/view the web pages on
their sight, such as an ActiveX control.

If you can provide the complete *verbatim* text of the message,
including the name of the file(s) involved then it should be possible
to give you specific advice regarding that item.
