Security update

I am running Window XP Professional 2002 and have set up automatic updates.
Every day I get an update for KB823718. Every day I load it. At the end of
the download, it says that the download is complete. When I check add/remove
programs, the download does not show. What's up here...

It has been posted and it doesn't seem to be addresed
