Security update via e-mail

Brian

I've just received an e-mail, with attachment, supposedly
from MS instructing me to install the latest security
update for the Sept. 2003 Cumulative Patch which fixes
vulnerabilities affecting MS Internet, MS Exployer, MS
Outlook and MS Outlook Express.
It looks very genuine with all the "right logos etc.
Have MS now started to update via e-mails??????????
I have checked my updates and no critical updates are
available.
I have not opened the attachement nor clicked onto the
links.
What should I do??????????

Just DELETE it!!! YOu'll satrt getting loads of them, if
my experience of them is common... anything from 30 - 150
a day now.

I have started using MAILWASHER (www.mailwasher.net), has
dramatically reduced the time and effort that these emails
used to take up a few days ago.

Best of luck
