Security update trashed computer

Had a message this morning that I had an automatic security update last
night, now a variety of things don't work. Can type an address into
internet explorer, but it does nothing - won't go to site. Have to work
around it by searching for the site and then clicking on it in google.
Trying to attach a file in Microsoft Outlook just freezes Outlook. Can't
"send to" a file either. Explorer opens but freezes when I try to click on
something to go somewhere in my computer.

The same thing happened to me yesterday!! My internet explorer is doing the
same exact thing and i cant save anything in Word. SOOOOO annoying especially
since I have my thesis due this week!! Thank you microsoft for messing up my
computer!
