Security update for windows xp (KB828035) will not install

Hi,
I have downloaded the above security update for windows
xp and when in the process of installing it a window
comes up and says that this software has not passed the
windows xp logo test and will not be installed. Does
anyone know how I could fix this little problem. Any help
would be appreciated.

Not exactly the same, but when I try I get Active X

settings will not allow display and I can not get the
patch and now I have gotten this DLLHOST.EXE I have been
told this is a virus. Can you help???

This is from the Welchia worm. Take the affected machine off the
Internet and any other network immediately. On a different machine, go
to www.sarc.com (Symantec) and download the fix. Read the instructions
thoroughly first. Another standalone virus scanner for 30 or so of the
most common viruses is Stinger from http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
(McAffee). And for goodness' sake - when your computer is clean, get
yourself a current antivirus program and install it.
