Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components (KB832483)

I have installed this Update at least ten times. It says
that it completes successfully ... but everytime I
reboot ... I get notified that I need to install it again
(as if I had never installed it at all) ... thoughts?

Go to Microsoft.com/data and find the link for the latest MDAC(2.8). I was
having this problem and another person suggested to do this and it fixed it
for me.

Agreed. Need to download and install MDAC 2.5 or higher (I dl MDAC 2.8). Then install the KB832483 update. Worked for me and co-worker with same issue.
