Security Tab not appearing

HELPME

PLEASE HELP ME. I'm at my wits end.

The security tab won't appear in my folder and file
properties. I'm unable to delete several files and
folders even though I'm told using the Security Tab can
help.

I'm using Windows XP Pro. I've gone to Control Panel ->
Folder Options -> View -> and I've unchecked Use Simple
File Sharing. I was told several times that this will
bring back the Security tabs...

But it doesn't! Not for anything! It's really fustrating,
I've done everything I think I was supposed to. Please
help me anyone!

In addition to unchecking Simple File Sharing, you must be running NTFS as your file system. You can check this by right clicking on the drive in Windows Explorer and selecting Properties. On the General tab, it will indicate the file system in use on that drive.
