Security Patch

I have tried at least ten times to install the Security
Patch, to no avail. What is wrong? I looked on the
Windows XP Critical Updates and could see that it tried
to install ten times and ten times it failed. Never had
an update problem before. Can anyone help me?

I cannot install it either- I keep getting an error that
says something about Win32.

I have been trying for several months to get SP1 and the
security updates to install in Win XP, but keep getting an
error message that it can't display the page, when
scanning for updates. I have written to Microsoft about
the problem no less than 6 times and NEVER even got an
acknowledgement of my messages. This just tells me that
Microsoft doesn't give a SH*T about customer
support...only selling. I'm totally fed up with this whole
mess. They have faulty software and then when I can't
download the patch, they ignore me.

What exactly is happening?
Is there an error message?
Are you disabling antivirus and other unnecessary applications?

Having lots of problems after installing SP1. Now I get
error message can't display this page when scanning for
updates, my cd drive won't work, settings not allowing
ActiveX controls on sights where I have never had
problems before, can't access anything using my username
and passport such as windows or msn messenger or my msn
mail. It seems to me that lots of people are having
similar problems. I tried to get help from Microsoft by
calling them and they said they could help, but for a
fee. Who knows, maybe they are doing on purpose.
