Security Patch Lost my Files!

I'd been keeping my shared files in a folder in "Network Places" which was
accesible from any computer in my home network. Last night I downloaded a
Windows security patch to my laptop and now "Network Places" is no longer
accesible from that computer. In fact, the shared file I had in there is
gone, though it's still accessible from my downstairs computer. I can no
longer access any shared files from my laptop at all, and when I click on
"Network Places" it just takes me to MSHome (the name of my home workgroup)
and then freezes up.

I really need this folder back again! And I need to access it from my laptop.

Try running the network setup wizard again and check firewall configuration
as something probably changed after applying the update.
