I have a silly question about security of RDC. I was using pcAnywhere to
connect to our company's server 2003 and consider using RDC due to faster
and smoother. Can someone advise me if RDC is as secure as pcAnywhere.

Thanks,

Scott

Well, according to the Vista product guide, from a IT manager perspective,
"RDC offers enhanced control over which applications and infortmation they
make available to remote users. By eliminating the need for a VPN
connection, Vista enabled the IT manager to grant granular and secure remote
access to specific corporate resources - Terminal Server based applications
and desktops designated by the IT manager - rather than full network access.

eg:
1. You allow connections from computers running only Vista
2. Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network
Level Authentication
