security log is empty in WinXP Pro

I recently installed XP Pro on a system I built and I
noticed that the security log is completely empty even
after two weeks of use. There is absolutely nothing in
it even though there are two users on this system, and
another computer connected by LAN.

How is this happening? How can I fix it?

And you have checked in the Local Security Policy
to see that logging is enabled ??

You're talking about the firewall log.. I'm talking about
the security log for my machine.

I am speaking of event logging, as viewed with eventvwr.msc
What gets logged is controlled in the local security policy under
the computer node, where you will find auditing policies.

I just read the above, and am facing the same problem.

The security log in a system that I just installed windows xp on, i
not populating inspite of ensuring that the local security policy ha
logging enabled. The other 2 logs - application & system are populatin
absolutely fine
