Security issues with port forwarding to wireless PS3

If this is not the appropriate group in which to post this question, I apologize
in advance.

I have a home network (all XP) with one wired and two wireless PC's (cable modem
via D-Link DI-624 router). All is working well.

Recently, my kids got a Sony PS3, which is connected wirelessly as well with a
static IP address. In order to achieve NAT 2 status (apparently necessary for
chat a some other features to function properly), I have to forward certain
ports to the PS3. I am well versed on how to do this, but does this create any
security issues for the 3 PC's on the network?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi
In theory any open port reduce security.
In reality there is No other choice but to open ports for special
devices/applications.
A security system that comprised of a Router for the Network, as well as
Software Firewall, Antispyware, and Antivirus on each Networked computer
would provide adequate security fro home system. If this network belongs to
a Bank, then do do not install PS3 on it. ;) ;) ;).
