The security advisor tells me to check anti virus I have
Norton AV 2003 and is up to date definition and program
wise from the live update within the program the advisor
tells me it recognizes that I have Norton but it says
status is unknown is my only option to check the box that
says I have a anti virus program and I will monitor it
myself? I know Norton is working because last week it
caught a virus trying to be deposited by a website.

There's a patch for NAV 2004, they may bring out a patch for NAV 2003 later, not
sure on that you'll have to check that out with Nortons.

at the xp security center slick on antivirus and then
click on the reccommendations tab. check the box that says
i have and will monitor my anti virus that will stop xp
from annoying you each time you start up vgl2u

Go to the Symantec web site. There is specific info about this.
Symantec has released a patch for 2004 and later products allowing the
security center to see them, but not for earlier ones. It seems
unlikely they will for the earlier ones either since they are stopping
on line support this september for NAV 2003 . Just turn off the
monitoring in security center for AV.
