secure web pages +

I am unable to access any secure web pages..can not log in to msn ..can not get email..and computer doesn't recognize when I put in a cd...I have a hp pavillion and am VERY frustrated..have spent many hours on the phone with msn and verizon (my dsl provider) ..with out any luck..any ideas??

might want to run a check disk

My computer, C drive, right-click, properties, Tools, Error checking, check
now, check both boxes, reboot.........

try typing "regsvr32 softpub.dll" in the run command for it's a secure sites issue. You need to type it in the run command. so click "start" then "run"
