Secure Forms

Gershon

I'm using FrontPage 2000 and have several forms for customers to complete
and submit to me. These forms send me an email with the information, and it
works fine.

I've had several requests to have these forms secure, so I added SSL
capability. Now, the form loads OK, but when you click submit, you get a
document not found. I have no idea what document it's looking for (I tried
changing the default page for successful submission, but it didn't help so I
went back to default).

Tech support for my host says speak to Microsoft, they have FP extensions
for my site but can't troubleshoot FP issues. I'm ready to cancel the SSL
or go to another host-can someone help?

1st: The form are not submitting data securely, if you are sending via email!!!

Your web host most apply the FP extensions to port 443 for your web account. If your host doesn't
know how to do this, it is time to find another web host, however have the extensions on post 443
and then sending the data via email is misleading your customers into think that they are submitted
info in a secure fashion.
