Section Break Not Working??

Al Franz

I have a document where I create a section break. Then I insert another
Word document below this section break. Shouldn't all margin and header
information from the inserted document be applied to the new document below
the section break. The margins are not and infact the header information is
getting applied to pages in the document above the section break. This
isn't working how I thought it should. Does one have this type of
capability in Word 2003 ??

In order to preserve the document formatting, you need a section break at
the end of the inserted portion (*before* you insert it). See

Thanks Suzanne. This will take some time to experiment with I guess to understand it. I really miss the days of Wordperfect and reveal codes. It all made such logical sense then. As opposed to, taken from the document (smile).....

Thanks for the help, Al
