This file logs group policy refreshes and is getting quite
large in Winnt\Security\Logs on our Server. Does anyone
know how I can clear it or detach/re-attach an empty log
file? No matter what I try I get a Shared Access Violation
Error. Would appreciate anyone's insight on this. Thanks!

You should be able to reboot in Safe Mode (Or Directory Services
Restore Mode if it's a DC) and delete the file then.
