"Secondary menus via a pop-up"

I would like to have an item on a pop-up menu
that brings up another user created pop-up when
the mouse moves to that item.

I created a 2nd pop-up and tried to "connect" it to
the first, but I'm grasping for straws and only cause
myself a lot of frustration. Some guidance would be
most helpful.

When building your popup menu one of the things you can drag onto to it is an
item named "New menu". That allows you to have cascading sub-menus. I don't
think you can just drag one menu onto another one.

before I change its properties to "pop-up"? Otherwise, it's too
late and I'm right back where I started in attempting to drag
one pop-up onto another.

You drag the item from the customize dialog named "New Menu" onto your existing
menu. Doesn't matter if your existing menu is a popup or a standard menu. "New
Menu" is not a menu. It is a way to start another menu that branches from an
existing one. Initially it is nothing but a caption with an arrow. It does
though have a small area where you can drag and drop additional menu items to
build your sub-menu.

Just to add:

if you made it a popup, then in the list of menus..check mark the "shortcut
menus" in the list (toolbars tab).

Your menus can now be viewed, and you can continue to customize those
shortcut menus...you just have to display the shortcut menu to "get" to
those menus you made....

So, it is not too late so to speak....

Is there an added library of icons somewhere that
can be used to supplement the selection that appears
with "Change Button Image"?

You can copy any existing button image from any existing toolbar. Other then
that I don't know.
