Secondary DNS forwarding question

After I point the secondary servers to the primary, do I
also configure these servers with there own forwarding
dns servers, in case connectivity is lost?

Forwarding on dns servers is server by server, so if you have multiple dns
servers that users connect to (or may connect too) and you want all of them
to forward, you'll need to set up Forwarders on each one.
