Second URL for Same Site

I have a client who gets a lot of misspellings of his URL. Usually a
transposition.

Is it possible to register the misspelled domain name then use the IP
address to point to the correct site? He would have to pay for the
registration but would not have to pay for a second host site.

I know this can be done with redirection - I'm hoping that the misspelled
URL can point to the correct site.

Thanks Cheers,

yes. The new site will still have to be set up on the server (no content
necessary) pointing the IP to another site.

You might want to see if the host supports "domain parking" If so, both
domains can point to the same web site / IP address.
My hosting company charges a one time fee of $10 to "park" an already
registered domain.

I did it by setting the multiple domain names to all point to the same names servers at my host. Then my host set it up so that each of them point to the same IP address. That's all it took

I actually have one domain that I point directly to a sub folder which can be done with some ASP, but just pointing them all to the root just requires some setup and shoudln't require any additional cost other than the registration if you have a good host. Since technically there isn't multiple websites, just multiple names which doesn't cost them anything to set up
