Second personal file folder (.pst)

S

stuff

Hi,

(Running XP Pro and Outlook 2000, with all updates)

I would like to add a second Personal File Folder, which functions
independently from the already existing one with its own contact, email, and
calendar folders? This can and is done done.

But, when I select a contact from this second new Personal File Folder and
subfolders, and make an appointment, the appointment goes into the main
calendar.

1) How can I make this operational?

2) Is the current rev of Outlook able to support multiple,
isolated, independent .pst folders?

Thank you!

Outlook 2003 works the same way as previous versions in this regard. You
can't change the default behavior, but you can do a couple of things to work
around the problem you're having:

1) Open the secondary calendar folder and create the appointment there -- it
should save there; or

2) Drag the contact to the secondary folder and you will get a list of
options for creating a new appointment in that folder based on the contact
information; or

3) Create a new appointment and before you close it, click File | Move to
Folder and put it in your secondary calendar folder.
