second email address

I keep being prompted for password on second email account. My server tells
me all is well their end, can you help?
-- Account: 'pop.tools.sky.com (1)', Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.',
Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number:
0x800CCC92

The account may be corrupted. Delete it, restart Windows Mail, then
recreate that account.
 
have tried this with no success, anything else you can suggest, I'd be very
grateful

If you go to http://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/toolspage
can you access that email account from there?

Then I don't know what could be wrong.
If you want, you could upgrade to Windows Live Mail,
but frankly, I don't think it will make a difference.

Did this just start happening sometime yesterday???? It's happening to me
too. I tried deleting and recreating POP3 account. I tried uninstalling
Windows Update - nothing is working.
I had it happen once before after a Windows Update - but that time a second
update came within hours and fixed the problem.

ARRGH!

No this was from setting up 2nd account - HOWEVER it seems to have righted
itself today. Thanks for all help

Good to hear it has been resolved. Sounds like there may have been a
temporary glitch with your account at the mail server end.
